- Catalogue listing path is not in robots.txt disallow rules. Polite scrape with a real User-Agent and a delay between pages.
- Used for:
- Quality ratings on /100 scale for bottlings not rated on whisky.fr. Used to fit the dealscore regression where whisky.fr coverage is thin.

- Static reference CSV; refreshed when the upstream project publishes a new release.

- Used for:
- Real-world French supermarket prices (Système U, Carrefour, Leclerc, Auchan, Intermarché, Monoprix) observed in-store. Treated as a real retailer in the multi-source schema.

- Live rainfall stations across Scotland. Each distillery joined to its nearest station for the 'last 12 months' rainfall context line in the map popup. Not used by the valuation model.

Distillery registry (silkywhisky)
registry- Used for:
- Canonical list of Scotch distilleries with region, latitude, longitude, and aliases. Resolves messy product names back to a single distillery across retailers.
- Cadence:
- Hand-maintained. Updated when a distillery opens, closes, or rebrands.
- Terms:
- Our compilation. Built from publicly available sources (SWA records, distillery websites, OpenStreetMap, the Whisky Yearbook).
Bottlings scored on this site are sourced from public retail price feeds only. Editorial staff may receive promotional samples in a personal capacity; samples never enter the scored dataset. Methodology disputes go to slainte@silkywhisky.com and are published with our reply.
